Not too long ago, Joyce Muniz announced a new joint-venture label called Black Diamonds, an imprint aimed at live electronic music. It was a surprising move for the established DJ, but a refreshing and unique one that hopefully inspires more artists to do the same. The first EP, also titled Black Diamonds, features New York-born, Berlin-based talent Demetrius, whose silky smooth vocals are instantly mesmerizing.
Today, Magnetic brings you an exclusive premiere of the final track on the release, titled Speed Of Life. The slowed down and sensual track shows the diversity of both Demetrius’s voice and the direction the label will be going. The spacey and deep pads and synths perfectly wrap around his voice, and the breakbeat has the early ’00s feel to them that stirs up nostalgia. Check it out below, and be sure to grab a copy July 19th.

lyrics
Letís leave the country, I wanna run away
We can go anywhere, as long as your with me.
Theyíll never find us, even if they try,
cuz well move faster, than the speed of light.
Weíll move fast
Weíll move faster
So much faster
So much faster
Yeah, weíll move fast
Weíll move faster
So much faster
So much faster
At our speed of life
Speed of life
Speed of life
Your in the front seat, as we slip away
Where are we going? I donít think you care.
No need to hurry, we can take our time,
and we move faster like the speed of light.
At our speed of life.
Speed of life
Speed of life
At our speed of life
Speed of life
Yeah, weíll move fast
Weíll move faster
So much faster
So much faster
At our speed of life
Speed of life
Speed of life
At our speed of life
Speed of life
